What is an EICR?
Understanding Your Electrical Safety Certificate
An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is a formal assessment of the electrical systems within a property. A qualified electrician inspects the fixed wiring, consumer unit, sockets, switches, light fittings and earthing to check they are safe, up to standard, and free from deterioration.
At the end of the inspection you receive a written report graded as either Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory, along with any observations coded C1 (danger present), C2 (potentially dangerous) or C3 (improvement recommended).
Datel Electrical carry out EICRs on domestic properties, rental properties, commercial premises, schools and care homes across South Devon. All reports are issued on the day of inspection and signed off by a qualified, ECA-registered engineer.
